WHO ARE WE?

Playful Paws of WNY is a locally owned dog daycare and training center. While Rebecca worked for many years in dog training and dog daycare, she saw a need for a facility that truly understood dog behavior and body language. She knew that the behavior knowledge and training was essential to giving dogs a safe and enriching place to play and learn. Rebecca has worked since 2008 in dog daycare and dog training, starting as an intern for an animal behaviorist and continuing to learn from other trainers and dog daycare facilities until she decided to open at Playful Paws. She graduated from Houghton College with a psychology and business degree and is a Karen Pryor Clicker Training Graduate.

Rebecca and her staff believe positive reinforcement/science-based training is the best and only way to train and work with animals. At Playful Paws, we strive to make a safe play environment, an enriching training environment, and to make every dog feel as though they are one of our own.

ANDREA

Manager

Andrea has been working in dog daycare since 2016 and has been a volunteer at the ECSPCA for over 5 years as a Kennel Assistant, Canine Adoption Assistant, and currently as a member of the Canine Enrichment Team. After spending her mornings with the daycare dogs, you can find her family's restaurant where she is the Assistant Manager. Her time spent between the shelter and daycare has left her with a soft spot for the bully breeds, but every dog she meets manages to wiggle their way into her heart. She truly cares for and loves each one as if they were her own!

NICOLE

Daycare Assistant

Nicole is a graduate of Canisius College’s Animal Behavior, Ecology, and Conservation (ABEC) program and is happy to be a new addition to the Playful Paws daycare team. Caring for and training companion animals has always been the reason she wanted a career in animals, but she also enjoys being a volunteer at the SPCA Serving Erie County’s Wildlife Department! When she’s not at Playful Paws or the SPCA, Nicole works for the bakery at Wegmans. She hopes to become a better animal behaviorist and trainer as her career grows!

MAKENZY

Daycare Assistant

Makezy is another one of our fabulous Daycare Assistants with a strong passion for animal care.
